You make me ill with all that game to go after....I can't even find one to look over around here. I've been out 2wks now and not seen a deer. The rain has begun and maybe things will improve, but so far nada.

Mulies or Blacktail?

My wifes rifle deer season started Saturday... having a rough go of it ourselves. Seem 36 does, 1 buck to far, to close to dark to go after.

Today we saw 50 does, 3 different bucks, nothing we could get in range of. Sleeping in tomorrow morning, we'll go hunt tomorrow evening, snow expect which would really help.

Suz, don't feel too bad, I don't think I have a place to hunt this year.

Here in MN the muzzle loader season begins after Thanksgiving. Most years it is pretty cold. I would love to be able to take the smoke pole out before rifle season.

NZ doesn't have hunting season or a limit, you can hunt all year around and you can shoot as many as you like. Its the getting time to go out and do it that foils the cunning plan!
