The big challenge is educating the "faithful".
The believers that guns are evil - in spite of all evidence to the contrary.
These are the people who won't sit down to have a conversation with you because you are armed. The gun is evil and it make people do evil things.
Even after knowing you for years.

As soon as "Jim" found out that there were guns in my house - after knowing me for 5 years - he would not enter the house. He wouldn't even talk to me other than to ask, "what happens when you disagree with me and shoot me?"

We almost never agreed on some things but on most of the issues that we discussed we were very close. We had just never broached the "gun issue" before.

Like arguing salvation with an atheist and a Seventh Day Adventist.
