After several years of phone calls, texts etc Mike (Elvis) and I and our wives all met for lunch in Otorohanga (about 40min) from where I live.
Mike is in North Island for a surprise visit to his parents which is about another hours south.
Great to finally meet him.
Now organising a Thar hunt next year in the Southern Alps - I'm after a Winter Bull Thar Cape for the floor of the office - but having shown SWMBO I might even be able to have it in the bedroom - who would have thought that was possible.....

That is outstanding mate, although Radar and Elvis in the same grid square conjures all sorts of scary thoughts.

Mates it was a great holiday/funnymoon for Bec's and I,getting to meet those two for a yak was one of the highlights for us both.
got off plane in ChristChurch yesterday and it was sooooo cold we both wanted to hop back in and head back up north.
I will have to really do some homework and yak to my old mate Les to find a easyish spot so the hunting wont take up too much time that could be better spent drinking beerzies.

Bugger the beersies - I've been on you tube watching tahr hunting vids while I recuperate from an operation - me want Tahr! And Chamois! Don't care about beersies until one or both itches have been scratched

just spent a small fortune so the terrano is well shod...that makes access easier.

Im also on a diet!!!!!!! just passed medical for drivers licence and health is fine,cardio type blood tests all ok aswell,colestrol not perfect but only a little high so not too much of a worry,changed to a reducing spread instead of plastic....oops I mean margerine,so that should also help that one. getting off fat bum and going for walkies will help with fitness .....look out you big hairy mountain goats.
