This could pretty much relate to any Service...Army, Navy, Marine, Airforce...any of them, just different towns or ports.

You have a point, Bushy. Trying to find your way through the ship's passageways which are an illogical maze to start with, has a degree of difficulty when you are sober. Doing so while intoxicated with all the chin and head knockers and ladders is a real challenge!

As a veteran multiple crossing of the equator (at least 8 times) I see no reason to forgive us. Instead we should be applauded for our efforts.

I bow to your superior experience with Davey Jones. Only 4 times for me the first was in my humble opinion the best.

I was on a spy ship, USS Charles Berry (DE-1035). We spied on the Russian test range in the South Pacific. We were stationed in Pearl Harbor.
