I dont know what part of the forms to post this in but I thought someone might like this so I decided to post it:

www.sendmefiles.com/Survival_pdf74

Its basiclly 10 pages of condensed survival stuff you might want to know if you get lost in the bush without carrying big heavy 500+ page feild manuals. This is cut and past job of mine I cannot take much credit! And yes I did list where I got it all from. Very Happy

It's me.
Thanks for the doc. Good introduction Smile
By the way, I already downloaded some time ago the reference documents you name (from USMC, etc...). All of them are in english. I have no problem, but a friend of mine would like to get them in our mother language (spanish). Do you know of some place to download such kind of documentation in other languages (specifically spanish)?
Thanks again in advance.

Lince,

I don't know about many survival manuals in other languages. And for that matter I dont know of alot of manuals in English as I've just pretty much stuck with what I got off the USMC in there feild manuals.

A quick search for "Manual De la Supervivencia" (Translator told me thats "survival manual") turned up a few hits one of the first hits I got was a entire book:

www.agapea.com/-MANUAL...27667i.htm

Congrts on a heck of an effort, its tough.
I have tried to do something similar in the past, but always ended up too big to be carried. And if you don't have it it's not much good.

I guess the idea is to run this stuff around in your head, so it will be there when you need it, and as long as you don't lose your head, you should be O.K.
P.S. Had a deck of playing cards with this stuff on it a while ago, don't know what happened to it.
Would sure like to find another.

Hunter,

It was alittle but I decided to cover the basics, food, water, and shelter. Then I decided to add alittle about finding direction without a compass incase it broke and the wind and soap making stuff was just neat so I added it. Smile

Pretty good composite of the basic information. I would suggest getting a copy of the SAS Survival Handbook for your library as well. I like it better than anything the US military has published. OTOH, I like the US Marine hand-to-hand combat manual better than anything I have seen in the combat department. Probably because that is what they taught me in the Navy.

Good job!
