Well I do belive you would still do the muzzle method of checking if the animal is alive, that is hold your rifle and poke the animal with the barrel of your firearm approximatly where the heart is with your fingure on the trigger if it moves you simply shoot. Before deciding to go to its backside to use this tool and getting wacked with its legs as it jumps up. Laughing

I hold a rifle or revolver on them and kick them in the ribs...If they move I have to waste another bullet and call it a two shot kill and I hate that... Mad

Looks like a useless tool to me. Like everyone else, everything comes out the other way when I'm field dressing. Confused
