For the past 24 hours, it has been raining constantly in Sydney.
Our Dam catchment area has received over 100mm (4 inch, Bushy! )
A bit of nuisance when driving around or wanting to do outdoor works but the rain in certainly welcome
I guess if it going for another week, NSW would be drought free then
I hope you got similar result in QLD Vince.
I am a bit annoyed because I could not get to the range to try out my Buffalo Classic 45-70. The range is FLOODED!!

11 days down.. still raining..
Flood everywhere and trees are down.
some roads (highway) got swept away and cars crashes into the ditch, people dies.
on the other hand, the dam are filling, the grass are greener, streets look cleaner, no dust, and best snow season for 40 years :)

Get ready for some more Gelandangan, News tonight said to expect a storm at 2am with 100k + winds.
Hope it blows up your way Vince, I was in the area last week and the talk was on tighter water restrictions.

Well here it is, 28 June and it is still raining in Gelan's locale. Luckily they need it. There are some parts of the state of New South Wales that have got water in their dams for the first time in years. Sydney's dam has gone from below 20% capacity to over 50% capacity in the space of 2 weeks.....not because it is small, but because of the massive amount of rain they have had. They've had fairly sizeable floods and loss of life.......not good.
Up here in Brisbane Queensland we are getting reasonable rain, but unfortunately we aren't getting anywhere near enough in the catchment areas. As tikkat3 says, they are discussing further water restrictions. At the moment the are trying to keep water usage down to 140 litres per person per day....not easy. That's 31 gallons per person throughout the household and includes everything from showers to clothes washing. Hm, maybe I could shower every second day.....and leave my clothes on whilst doing it....kill two birds with the one stone.
Cheers, Vince

Your way has been unlucky Vince, the rain has gone south and washed away Victoria.
