We just returned from north Alabama where we went to visit my Dad, his brothers and their extended family, a 3 day whirlwind visit. Son and his wife arrived on Friday night from Okinawa. He is on his way to Iraq.

We are going to have a good Christmas this year. I wish everyone on the site a great Christmas and other Holiday time.

Same to you and your Family Ed.
We will be heading to Ely for the weekend to spend time with my Mom and my Brother, Wife, and kids.
Christmas Eve will find us all a Church at home.
My Wife is singing, the Twins will be Alter Servers, and Ben and I will be Ushering and serving Communion.

Everybody here at HuntingNut have a Blessed Christmas and Hanukkah.

Eric

Merry Christmas Ed and all!

This year is the first year at our house as last year was the last year at my father-in-laws...he died of cancer on Dec 31, 2006. No one wants to go to that house because of the cancer memories...time to start the new tradition here. We'll see how it turns out

A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all my mates, or as Morax so elequently put it...my extended family, on HuntingNut.

Like Doublejs I too am starting a new tradition. We have always had Christmas at Mum and Dad's place in Sydney, but now that Dad has gone Mum has come to my place in Brisbane to spend Christmas with us.

Cheers, Vince

ROFL Laughing Nice try...FAIL. I am gonna have my hands full with my 85 year old Mum mate. She is still a bit "funny" since loosing Dad mid year.

Whats-a-matter mate....you don't get on with Mother-Out-Law??? Laughing

Cheers, Vince

We did the family visit last weekend. My friend comes in from Korea on the 22nd so I get to hang out with her and we can do all the girly shopping the day after.

I'm also trying to make it a great Christmas for my goddaughters since they're having a rough Christmas with their parents spliting. In an hour I'm taking them on the drive to see all the lights.

For all who have lost family this year may the memories of years past help you through this one. A few years ago we lost my grandma around Thanksgiving and it was rough but the memories got us thru. Luckly with my mom's health problems this spring we are even more greatful for her still being here and who cares what's under the tree.

Happy Holidays and may the new year be a great one for one and all on the extended family of Hunting Nut.
