Nothing new here, they don't call it "the thin blue line" because cops are everywhere. Only silly people think that cops are supposed to solve THEIR problems or keep them safe. Cops arrest AFTER a crime has been committed. They are not all knowing and everywhere, that's a different guy. The national average for police coverage is something like 2.2 cops per 100,000 people. Cops do an excellent job of catching dumb violent criminals the judges on the other hand do an excellent job of letting them go. And the smart non-violent criminals, well the word politician comes to mind.

That's why I believe in the saying, "We don't call 911."

Cary, I'd call 911, eventually. Somebody has to clean up the mess afterwards.

What mess? The sand is deep in Atascosa County.

Mike,

I was joking in the previous post. As of now, anyway. Ha Ha!

I'd call 911, once I had the perp on the floor. I don't want them to get here too early, I want the perp to be glad to see them.

Cary, I think it was Bushmaster that introduced the "three S" version of this concept to me. Shoot, Shovel, Shut up!

No problems Bushy young mate.

Forum Rules

There are a couple of "long fences" in Australia.

There is the Rabbit Proof Fence in Western Australia which is 1833 km (1466 miles) long, and the Dingo Fence which crosses three States and is 5614 km (4491 miles) long.

The Dingo Fence is the longest fence in the world and is also the long man made thing in the world...even longer than the Great Wall of China.

These fences were actually built to control vermin introduced by the Poms (rabbits) and to keep Dingos out of the fertile sheep districts.

Cheers, Vince
