Made it back Very Happy

. My daughter didn't make this trip it's the first one she has missed Sad

She had her first Football game over the weekend ( she's a chearleader) so my mom stayed here with her. I'll make sure the next trip is not on a football weekend. The trip was good we rode four wheelers around the mountain some but mostly sat on the porch and shot the bull with pop and my cousins Very Happy

Here's me and pop it was good to see him Very Happy

If it is you where only about 20 miles from my new cabin, You know you have a open invitation to stay there. Next time you go down let me know and I will send you the keys.

Thank you for the offer. I'm not sure exactly where Cherokee is I think it's western NC and my pop lives in western NC just not sure how close, My pop is about 30 mins from boone.

I am not sure of the miles but I think its around 35 to 40 miles from Boone, So if you want it anytime just let me know its yours and rent free, just take out the garbage when leaving,hahahahaha

Welcome back Joe. I'm really happy that you were able to spend quality time with you Pop mate. I reckon that what you guys did is about the best way to cement the Father/Son relationship...and maintain the mateship that only a Father and Son has.

Next time hopefully your daughter can get some quality time with her Grandpop too, that again is equally important.

Your Dad looks like a slightly older version of you mate...not had to see where you got your looks from.

Thanks Vince, pop and I have a pretty good relationship I'm glad he's within driving distance about 475 miles one way. It's always good to see him Very Happy

Glad to hear you had a great trip, I live about 4,600 miles from my dad and mom, it is real special to get back to see them.
