Courtesy of Bushy....

Bow Hunter flanked by Bull Elk.
The ultimate hunting experience, a little to close to the rack though.

Careful with the Cow Call during rut.

Poor quality, but you will get the idea of the size of these beautiful animals.

This hunter has more cojones then me. Thats for sure...

Mike

Mate...I don't doubt that he did too..... scared BLUUURRRPPPPP Fart Yuck Very Happy Laughing

He must have had plenty of "you can't smell me pal" on his clothes cause the Elk just doesn't seem to really know what the hell he's looking at...and it's not a bad advert for the guys camo gear either. The guy didn't move a muscle...frozen with fear I reckon. But his heart must have still been pumpin', cause of the way he moved at the end. Very Happy Very Happy

When the Elk got spooked they both moved at the speed of a "raped ape"...lucky for the guy, away from one another.

Cheers, Vince

I would be thinking of all the different ways to get my gun on it before it either tore me into pieces or ran into the brush and got away. I am betting his mind was as full of thoughts as any of us.
That is closer than I EVER want to get to a healthy elk.

That is a clip from one of the hunting shows on satellite. It was fun watching the guy get ready for the shot then the elk ducked through some thick stuff, circled and came right on top of him for a good look and smell. When the elk turned and ran the hunter was off balance and could not get a shot. Real interesting episode and the quality of the video was much better than this much copied clip.

Had a doe and two fawns sniff my boots once while I was turkey hunting... I kinda feel sorry for people that don't hunt, they miss soooo much. We truly are the blessed ones......
