Just got word, I'm deer hunting this weekend. It should'nt be a surprise but it was. You see a very good friend had wanted to come to South Dakota to go Pheasant hunting with his son. This weekend was the only Hockey free weekend available. Being asked, I answered in the positive qualifying with them that it was deer hunt opener. With no snow on the ground and relative mild weather it would have been a good bird shooting weekend. Just learned this morning they aren't coming. I guess a hockey game came up or something.

My son is happy, I'm happy, all we have to do is decide what we are hunting with. Rifles or Revolvers so much fun so little time!
