Has anyone else tried or have Windows 7, and what do you think?

It works well on my TX2000 tablet computer.
Much better and faster than the original Vista.

But, must say it is not as fast or user friendly as XP.
Why the hell I have to have permission to delete my own file from my computer?

The reason I ask is because, the Laptop I've had for about a year now, had Vista on it and I liked it except that it seemed slow even after I fully loaded it with RAM. Well, yesterday I had Vista uninstalled and Window 7 installed and I am impressed with the difference. Windows 7 is somewhat like Vista but faster and better. I am very happy with it!! Smile

gelandangan, I have XP on my Desktop and I really like it as well but I think in time I'll like Windows 7 as much. It depends on what you're used to as well I guess.

One problem with Vista is it requires 2G of dedicated RAM just to operate !!!
My moms desktop has 4G of RAM and is night and day compared to my 2G.

The way I understood it, Windows 7 is Vista in a more efficient package with most of the bugs worked out !!!

Windows 7 is toooo new. I've already heard complaints about it. I'll stay with XP Pack 3.

I agree, Vista is a memory hog. That's why I put 4G of Ram into my Laptop. Actually I'm running 4G's in my desktop (XP) as well. Problem is though that, like my desktop with 32 bit XP, it only sees 3.5G of the 4G Ram. So, I installed 64 bit Windows 7 into my Laptop and it see's 4G's of Ram.

I agree with what you're saying Bushy, XP is very reliable but I didn't like Vista only because it was so slow and now I have a faster version you might say. Besides my oldest daughter works in a computer sales/repair shop so the upgrade was cheap and further more she's been working with Windows 7 for several months now and likes it so I thought I'd give it a try. Oh and by the way Bushy, yes I'm finished painting lines for this year. Very Happy

We have maybe 6 inches of snow at most. I think I'll be off the whole winter this year. I am doing good and you?

Hi this is erny's son jesse, i put the same version of windows 7 on my pc but i havent had a problem with my version. The way i did it was to format my computer and then install 7 onto it, then once that has installed and is working i had to apply a windows loader to finish the intallation properly otherwise it will think it is a trial version and wont work after a month.
you may have to re-install 7 then find the right loader for the version you are using(I cant remember the name of the one i used i think it was called hazar or something) but give that a try and see if that works for you as i have had it on my computer for over 6 months and havent had a problem.
cheers jesse

I don't know, but I believe the KEY word here is PIRATED.

Ya might try purchasing the product. Then you will have a KEY number...
