OK here is my latest wishful thinking.

Either a a Ruger SP(?)101 in .327FedMag. with I hope a three inch barrel
or a Nagant revolver. But with the price of the Nagant I may just have to get both!!!! Cathy needs something she can handle if I am not around and things go bad in a nig way and the Nagant Will do whatever needs done at bedroom distance. And the .327FedMag well it will do EVERYTHING and MUCH MORE than the Nagant. And it would be neat to have a nice tight smallish CCW revolver and be able to use it for weak hand.

No more wondering for me this year. Just got my new Winchester 1885 LowWall in .223 together this week. It's very light, very accurate, and oh so much fun to shoot. Very Happy

My short list is buggin' me. Really feeling it for a Buffalo Classic now.

Got word of a Rossi revolver rifle based on the Judge called the Circuit Judge...that would be NUTS!

Gotta have both and that's pretty much all there is to that.

One that's been eating at me is Ruger's Single Six Birdshead in .32 H+R. I've always had an urge for one of those Birdshead revolvers. I think I would have already bought one, but .32 H+R brass seems to be on the endangered list since the Obamafication of America. At some point I may make a project out of it and turn a standard Vaquero or Blackhawk into a Birdshead by switching the grip frames.

I have a single six in .32 H&R magnum and I love it to death. But that birdshead looks beautiful. The grip frame on mine is aluminum, by the way, and I just wonder how easy that would be to make those grips work. I scratched the hell out of mine and I had to sand the frame to remove the scratches. I tried to paint it to match the rest of the frame and didn't have very good luck. Ended up polishing the aluminum and it actually looks pretty good. But now I have to sand all the paint off the frame to make it match.

Suzanne,
I think your grip frame looks great with the polished finish. That was a good idea for a fix. Those birdshead grip frames are available though in both stainless steel and in the white(ready to finish). I think I've also seen them somewhere in solid brass which looks pretty good. www.midwayusa.com/view...ber=821208
