Ok so there was a bug report in the target screen, for the group size calculation. I looked into it and found there was indeed a issue. While exploring a fix, I decided to expand the functionality of the group size calculation a bit.

In the past I've had users request several different calculations. Some are only concerned with the Average Group size. Others wanted to know the largest size of the group, greatest distance between shots etc etc.

So, I decided to incorporate all of these calculations at one. When you enter the target page, you will notice shot strings now have addtional data drawn on the target. I will give a brief explaination here of what you will see:

In the image above, we have a string of 11 shots. Besides the individual shots, you now can see a green box, a red circle and a blue line.

The Red Circle, is the average group size for the shot string. It is based off the average center point for the string.

The Blue Line, shows the two shots of the string, with the greatest distance between them. This is the max spread of the group.

The Green Box shows the maximum size the shot string fits into.

I've also added a new field below the Average Group size for Max Spread.

Good bug find and good suggestions on how to make it better. It will be in the next version to be released this week.

Dallan...you are a champion mate. I reckon you could make a motza doing this sort of programming for those that want it.

Thanks mate.

Cheers, Vince

Quick question, does version 2.0 tell you the group center? That's one feature I've wanted in 1.8.

Not directly... its the center of the Red circle on the target shown above. There isnt alot of space left to fit it in. Maybe I can put it in a popup or something.
