Elvis, stop stirring us up with your semi auto talk.

Haha Haha Have to laugh...if not I'd probably cry.

You are right Tiks...they are a damn fine rifle mate.

Photo's eh.
Well I've got to get it home first Smile
Permits To Aquire here are running at between 2 and 6 weeks atm, so there's a good chance I'll have it paid off before the paperwork gets back.

Here's roughly what it looks like;

So very sorry to burst your bubble, but my Marlin model 917v bolt action 17 HMR heavy bbl will shoot a penny sized group at 100 yards with a 6-24 scope. No it may not have done it out of the box but with a little work on the trigger (by myself) and now it shoots like it should. I have a buddy with a cz and he still can't believe that my Marlin shoots as good or better and we have both been at the range at the same time.

As the one I getting is 22LR I'll be happy with dime size at 50 meters and rabbit head at 100..... Confused

Why burst his bubble?
I don't recall any anti Marlin statements on this thread, all makes of rim fire have their foibles, some shoot extremely well all the time, some dont, some are fussy with what you feed them.
If your getting that accuracy from a rim-fire, buy that lot of ammo in bulk and look after that gun, that's excellent.
I haven't shot a marlin in over 30 years, the one I shot back then was OK from memory, the rabbits couldn't tell the difference.
17 hmr do have a reputation for good accuracy in no wind, I thought about it, but the ammo here for 17hmr costs around 16 to 21 dollars for 50, Quality .22lr is half that. I can reload my .222 for less than that.
Anyway looking forward to getting my CZ in the coming weeks.
