Who is The Nut that has a real soft spot for critters that are struggling a little?

A wee hint... Very Happy Very Happy

Omg I knew my husband was quackers but seriously this takes it too far lol,
hubby biking home from work and spots a duck that is a bit dazed on the side
of the road, so he decides to bring it home, so yes we now have a duck sitting
inside in the warmth in the dog crate lol

I called it percy

nah I reckon its male mallard in "eclipse plumage"...although this time of year over here they in full in springtime activity mode so the mallard x grey/black drakes have that plumage on head...I wonder what the speculum/wing bars look like
pure mallard will be blue with white bars
grey/black will be more green with black stripe as well as the white
foot looks orange=mallard Vs grey-black for greys/black (fancy that)
and the chest being that chestnutty colour says mallard.
wonder if you can get any more photos????

Duck pics...

I get quite a few wood ducks around my way...they are fairly prolific in the Brisbane area...I also have a couple of pairs of Black Ducks (or Blackies as we call them) that frequent the park next door to my place.
