This situation is very sad. Another Government experient gone wrong with misleading information and intentions from the start. People are losing their livelyhood. Elk and deer heards have been decimated. It took 15 years for the wolves to completely over turn the balance of nature. If we can ever rid the wolfes, it will take more than that to return the grand elk herds and others, moose, bear, and deer. I'll be frank, its time to hunt the wolves until they are back on the endangered species list.

Quite a few wolves in my neighborhood. After several years of being shot at now, they are becoming quite elusive. Based on F&G info from hunters and trappers, more wolves are being trapped than shot. I haven't seen one, but have heard several close to my home. They are indeed are very large animal. Hoping one day to put my tag on one. Very Happy

Yes SJ. We have seen a reduction of elk populations. An example would be, I have a friend that is a trapper. Last winter he found a 7x7 and a 5x6 bull in the same area. Both appeared to be healthy animals that were killed by wolves. He took some pics. Very gory. The last two years now, they have eliminated hunting cows, except for a few token draw tags. Moose also have been hit pretty hard. Some areas have completely eliminated moose hunting. The deer seem to be doing OK yet.

wtf My father -used to live down on the salmon river near Lucille,Idaho-and his neighbors have had problems with wolves and cattle since the second year that they were introduced from canada. His neighbor directly behind his place had several of their steers "slaughtered by wolves",and he has even found wolves footprints thru his barnyard only about 100 yards from his house! Most of the deer that are left are hanging out by the river and the highway to stay away from the wolves! The people of Idaho county told the gubmint dummies that they did not want any wolves back again-that they "extincted" them for a reason the first time! But typical gobumint-"knew what they were doing","and were there to help"! Razz

The Canadian wolves they introduced are significantly larger than the Rocky Mountain wolves that used to be there. They new wolves are much more destructive.
