I was minding my own business when I saw a Pre-64 Winchester Model 94 on the used gun rack. Turns out it is a .32 Winchester Special and just about perfect. I have always wanted a .32 Winchester Special and set it back. Now I have to figure out how to pay for it. All the best...

Well Gil, I will'n to help ya out. Your only down in Schnecksville and I'm outside E-Town, and my grass needs mow'n real bad. With the rain we've been having its grown'n better than the weeds now. Its only an acre and won't take too long. I'll even let you use the power jobbie instead of the wife's old reel push'r. I'd be will'n to go 20 bucks and help ya pay for that thar 32.

PS.....I was almost in your shoes Saturday. I went to an auction and was bidding on a 1864 Spencer. I got cold feet at $1600 and dropped out. It finally went for 1900 plus a 10% buyers premium. I had to leave before the it was over but they also had a real nice 788 in 30-30! Here is a link to the auction site and a list of the goodies they sold.

BillPa,
I used to live in E-town and Hummelstown and worked part-time at Trops Gun Shop. Thanks for the kind offer on financing the .32 Win. Spcl., but I will just have to work a bit longer.

Never did well at gun shows or auctions, but always did better at gun shops. All the best...
Gil

Well when you worked at Trop, I'm sure you would have seen my ugly mug in there a time or two. When they were without a 'smith I filled in for awhile doing their dirty work till Allen took over. I was working between my own shop and theirs plus my job at good 'ol M&M. They keep bug'n me to work part-time. Don't think that would work though, I'd owe more than I would make.......

Later,
Bill

The hang tag price said $250, but I get a preferred customer discount so it will be $220 out the door including background check and sales tax. All the best...

I have the rifle on hold in a safe at the gun shop and plan to pick it up tomorrow. The owner and I are longtime friends and he will hold the rifle for me. It is a heck of a price.

On the way home this afternoon, I stopped at another gun shop and got a set of used RCBS like-new .32 Win. Spcl. dies and a set of like-new RCBS 7x57mm dies for a total cost of $26. All the best...
