The only reason that I shoot is so I can load them again...Beats paying for a therapist...

Gidday Bushy, That isn't as crazy as it sounds.

I have been climbing the walls here. Because I forgot to take my bolts when I went hunting I didn't shoot any rounds. Cause I didn't shoot any rounds I don't have any to reload. Its driving me crazy, I was really looking forward to doing some reloading. Sad I have even considered going out and buying some reloading components just so I can do some loading. Shocked

(Loved the Fruitcake Lady...my Mother-in-Law and wife laughed for ages, and as for the blonde cowboy.....what can ya say?!)

Cheers, Vince

I know what you mean.

two days ago, I was going to hit the gun rang with a friend to sight in a gun of his. and test out my marlin 30-30c. at 200 yards.
well. he never called and could not make it. I ended up taking my boy fishing instead.

problem. well. when we made plans to go shooting, I set up the night before and relaoded all my 9mm. and 30-30 . I did not save any extra shells to reload. I just knew I was going to shoot about 200 rounds of 9mm. and at least 50 to a 100 rounds of 30-30.
since we did not go shooting. the next day was raining and snowing . terrible day, considering the day before was around 65 and almost 70 degrees. and now. I did not have any shells to reload.

next time, I think I will keep a few shells asside for rainy days.

and I thought shooting was funner than relaoding ?? lol. I think I like them both about the same.

Bushy, that is not what I asked. I was asking if your +/- .002 tolerance was a range of .002 (.001 either side of the target length), or a range of .004 (.002 either side of target length)

Flinty ol' boy...Nice to hear from you again...You must have a life unlike the rest of us.

Dawgdad...You got it...Most of my rounds are almost +/- .000, but I will not reseat a round that is either side of 0 by .002. It's just not worth it...I have hunting rifles not target rifles...I just love "my rifle can....."

Cool Howdy Bushy, I would venture to say that it may be a bit diffrent but at the same time very much the same. Working as a Supervisor in a major Institution is not everyone's idea of a career. I served my 20+ in the service now I'm going to dip from the state (God Willing )

As far as cases, I have 28 ammo cans filled with various cases along with 11 12"X8"X16" Rubber Maid containers and 30 3# coffee cans. I used to work part time as a range officer in Miami and was able to enhance my collection, that along with being able to keep the brass when instructing quarterly in the service. We didn't have to turn in brass.

The rest of the components I buy some here some there and they have just built up over the years as has my powder stocks.

So when I get the urge or the need I can sit down and load for hours if my posterior can take it. Cool Cool
