I just got a new (used) atv.. I think I finally got a descent one, low hours , great shape and a fair price . 325 4x4 auto with hi and lo range.. I'm really liking it so far . I have had a new 2500lb winch sitting here for a while so I ordered a mounting plate for it . Were suppose to get a big snow storm wed night through Thursday. I might have to play in it.

Nice machine, they are incredibly useful. Saves alot of wear and tear on your truck or knees getting out into the remote wilderness. I use mine all the time and cant imagine life without one.

Congrats

No I don't shoot off of it. Most of the woodlots I hunt are small and use mostly tree stands , I walk to the stands and use the atv to get the deer out . It also helps when working or setting up the stands..

Depends on the laws of the area you hunt !!!

Some States will fine you for shooting from a motorized vehicle regardless if your hunting or not.
Loaded firearms in/on a motorized vehicle is also a no-no.
Most State lands and public hunting areas forbid their use entirely.
Riding and spotting game also known as road hunting is illegal in some areas.

Well here in Oz it is illegal to shoot off vehicles in public land, but in private land its sort of anything goes.

Thus leads to the problem, how to secure the ATV when you are away from it.
Some bastard might come, saw an ATV without its owner and says.. "finders keepers"

Chain it to a tree or run a python lock through a wheel spoke and around a frame part so it cant be rolled away.

Nice looking unit Joe...should make life much easier for you mate.

Like Gelan, I have seriously considered a quad, but finances don't stretch to one just yet. Luckily I have a son-in-law who works as a mechanic for a huge motorcycle sales group, so when the time comes I should get a good deal.
