That one at JobBob's is better than the PlumCrazy I bought. In designing it they addressed the problems of the PlumCrazy design and built a better lower. I think I paid $130, (local shop had them) and that also included the stock and the fire control group. Never had any problem with the polymer fire control group, the buffer tube complaints happened early on when some were shipped with the wrong buffer tubes or something. If you're looking at reviews also look at the date of the review, a lot of them are from the early ones made and the issues can sometimes be traced to wrong parts, or someone trying to do something to break one.

I haven't used mine in any three gun shoots or competition shooting and I don't intend to do anything other than target shooting and maybe hunting, but I would think the polymer should hold up. The upper receiver on mine has more dings and scratches on it than the lower does but otherwise it still looks like a new gun and everything works flawlessly. I think you'd have to do some really careless stuff to break one and i bet you wouldn't do that to an aluminum lower either.

On the related subject...HERE'S an article from the National Shooting Sports Foundation on gun manufacturing and the public response;

No matter how skilled our industry is in our marketing, there is no way that this demand could be generated through advertising and on-line videos. Americans wanted these firearms. Those that live in the pricey precincts of New York City or San Francisco may not want to face this fact, but it is the truth.

I'm sure most realize that the Glock polymer lower is molded around a metal frame insert. I wish these AR15 polymer lowers had a similiar design.

I currently have 3 New Frontier lowers in use my son uses the one with total poly fire control parts, no problem as of yet. New Frontier has videos on their site doing pressure tests on a hydraulic press that are very interesting.

I have also machined several EP Armory 80% lowers and am using those also. I like the New Frontier better but for an unmarked lower they are nice. The only problem I have encountered in that is seems like the hole for the selector is templated a hair to low. A little patience and file work or dremel carefully the problem is easy to correct.

I saw someone made mention of the threading for the buffer tube breaking is true however I believe this is strictly caused by the assembler cross threading the buffer tube and causing extra stress at a critical point. Every one that I started threading wants to start cross threading, just take your time and get it straight they work great.

I like to put anti walk pins in the trigger group as the pins are looser than I like. I made a second lower for my 6.5 Grendel so I can leave the heavy PRS stock at home when I am not shooting from the bench. I would take pictures but my Grendel is in the shop getting hydro dipped white camo.

Good to hear something positive from someone that is actually using one. When you work in the retail end the only reviews you hear are the negative ones.

It hasn't let up yet and I am not sure it will. I thought about selling the boat but who wants a boat in the frozen tundra. Bang global warming!

I read that BATFE raided EPArmory. It makes me wonder if they were seeking sales records.

I am keeping on eye on this and their web site for now to see if there are any updates. I wish I had more!

EPLowers had a video on youtube of them firing a AR15 with a bumpfire stock and a new magpul 30round mag. You can clearly make out the bullet-button... so the main question is where was this video taken and where is that gun currently?

In California where bullet-button's are required, bumpfire stocks and new 30round mags are illegal. Alot of speculation at this point, but it seems to point towards that video and gun used in it, not necessarily the 80% lower stuff (although its curious they took all their polymer based stock offline).

Slim,
This is why they really want to get rid of the cash economy, they have limited control over it and they cant trace it.
The scum politicians over here are doing their best to get rid of cash for this reason.
They'll take on the little guy with limited or no resources to fight them but wont take on big business that pays less tax than I do on on their 2 billion dollar profits.
