OK, I got the second opinion and it was no different from the first opinion.
Still not going to let them do it, I am taking natural blood thinners and trying to walk a mile 4 times a week and that is very difficult for me and I get a good sweat going not sure if its from the walking or the pain of walking.
Thanks for all your feedback.

Lester,
Your call mate, its your heart.
However, you have blockages allbeit partial, they wont get any better, they will only get worse and then one day one will block completely.
If this has gotten to the life style effecting stage, ie pain, shortness of breath etc its probably time to bite the bullet and do something about it while you are still well enough to handle the operation and recovery. Blood thinners imo are only a short term stop gap in your case and no I'm not a doctor so its only an opinion.
Look after yourself.

Les, we only met once but I could tell you were a good man. If they can fix it I think you should let them do it. Everyone I've talked to who has had it down was pleased they did.

Lester, a friend is recovering from a severe motoraccident for about 2 years now. He can walk, but still with great problems. After more examinations he's been told that they can fix it when they break his leg again and let it grow a little longer. Recovery will take him at least a year... he's planning to get it done after this hunting season...
Now you and your by-pass: normal recovery is about 1 week and when everything is going as normally planned, the only thing that will complain about this surgery are your boots. When your motor gets enough fuel again, your legs don't want to block after 100 yards anymore, so you can keep on going...
remember: today is the first day of the rest of your life!
And think about how you want to spend this rest of your life, you want to live or just to wait for the end?
You seem to have a great heart, feed it, so have the feeding line fixed!

Yes, I am paying attention. Further, I greatly appreciate all your kind and encouraging words, and I too love all you guys and gals.
However, this decision effects not just me and how much longer I might live, it effects my entire family. Like each of you they are encouraging me to proceed with the surgery. All so that I will live a little longer.
I am not an advocate of death. But, neither can I ignore many other factors that will effect my family after I am gone, and even if I elect to have the surgery how that will effect them in the longer term. That may sound a little confusing but, what I'm talking about is money, land, family trusts, and some other stuff that has not reached a conclusion yet.
Anyway, this has not been an easy decision. There are many more things I would like to get done and continue to work on as my body allows.
As it stands I was at the doctor yesterday and have not said no to the by-pass surgery, just not now. They have provided additional medication and there are things I am doing on my own to improve the situation. In a year or 18 months they will do another catheter to recheck the blockage for improvement. Then I'll make a final decision.

Lester,
You make the best decision for you and the family. none of us has all the facts. All we know is that we like having you around, so for us the decision is easy - from your point of view there is more to deal with. Do your best to deal with it fairly.
We still love you.
