I don't have any ratchets with a switch. All mine have dials instead.

In 1969. 1972 I up graded to Quadraphonic and have just up graded my equipment periodically.

I am a quadraphile. Stereo is passe. Very Happy

(and here comes the crap)

The joke is funny.

My absolute favorite ratchets are 1940's Thorsen "77xx" ratchets. You can find them from time to time on Ebay.

They are the ones with the "direction" toggle in the body of the handle, behind the ratchet gear. Only 2 moving parts, incredibly strong, low profile, dead simple to use.

I have a 1/2 inch drive Thorsen like that. I bought it new in 1970. It has never failed me.
