Well now, the 4th of July is upon us and a party has been planned, a few hundred more won't make a matter, so let's part on, ya all come Party

But, the law says no guns around booze. There will be liquid refreshments, burgers, dogs, potatoe salad, boston baked beans, macaroni salad, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, watermelon, pork ribs, cakes, pies, cookies & what ever others bring as asked Misc Party Howdy Flag Salute
See ya there.

Well, the party's over, the cleanup has begun. Now I know why I hate having parties. Got to admit, the vitals were tasty. The fireworks the city put on were great. I hope everyone had a safe 4th of July. Wave

OK, that's it. This thread is way too quiet. We need something interesting to talk about. Now that I'm back from vacation, I want to hear some noise.

This ought to get them riled up:

I hear that the government boys are going to place a hazmat tax on top ofthe shipping hazmat fees. It will be paid at the retail level and it is supposed to nearly double the cost of ammunition and components. The components that will be taxed are bullets (for their lead content), Powder and primers (because they are explosives as defined by the ATF). Loaded ammunition will also be taxed at the same level.

I suppose next we will have to have hazmat training to shoot our guns!

Well, its not really true but I thought it would get a bigger response than it did....
after all this country was founded because of a 3% tax on tea!

Ah, death and taxes...the only garanteed things in life today.

Don't know what the tax system is like in ht euS but here in Australia it is painful. We even pay tax on a tax!!!!!! We have a Fuel Excise on petrol that we pay when we purchase petrol, then the govt puts 10% Goods and Services Tax on top of that....%@#*%# !! Mad

Coke....its ok but I prefer Pepsi myself......but then again, when its mixed with a "little" Scotch or Bourbon, or Rum or....who cares which one it is. Very Happy

Cheers, Vince

Everyone has a little something wrong with them. Laughing Scotch Shocked Shocked , that makes two little things. Very Happy Didn't know that two wrongs make a right. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy When Castor Oil passes the nose and mouth only the stomach suffers. Same with that pepsi/scotch combination, I guess. Confused

Yea Vince we get the multi taxings too. Mad Hey, it's not to late for a tea party!

Gidday Chris. I only mix the cheap and nasty Scotch..same for Bourbon. If it is the good stuff (Single Malt Scotch or top shelf Bourbon) I only sip it straight...no ice or anything else that will change the true flavour.

Castor Oil...uuugh...Mum used to swear by that stuff as a cure for evrything that ails ya. I only use it in my motorcycles now.

Tea party.....damn fine idea....I'm up for a Twinings Earl Grey.

Cheers, Vince
