Stoney Point Target Turrets. Has anyone used these? I am concidering getting some to try out... I wonder how much "play" there is between the turret top and the click adjustment slot. These are made for Leupold which all my scopes are... just curious if anyone has tried them and have any feedback / experience regarding them.

I have them on a couple of my scopes and if you put them on right, they work great! Thin walled aluminum can lead to a stripped thread if you are not careful( not that I would know from personal experience or anything Embarassed ) lock tight the lock screw once you get your zero set too.

On my 30-06 I have the "0" calibrated for my 110gr. varmint load and have the other bullet weights zero based off of that. i.e for the 150 gr. PSP load, I I turn the dial from zero up to 3.5 to shoot the 150's . 180s are up to 4.75.

Good to hear!

One of the new features I'm working on for PointBlank v2.0 is a "clicks" field where if you set your scope at zero'd at 250 yards, it computes how many "clicks" low you are at say, 350 yards. It would be extremely easy at that point to make a chart on your turret to reflect the proper adjustments for different ranges.

Thanks for the input... and I promise to not cross thread it Smile (ps: also happy to here there is a setscrew for it... I was wondering how they kept it from turning and loosing its base setting).

Dallan,

Depending on your Budget Leupold will make BDC turrets for your model. Smile

Quote::
Custom Bullet Drop Compensation Dials
You know your rifle, riflescope, load, and ballistics like nobody else. Now you can have custom Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) dials for your Leupold riflescope. Just fill out our ballistics worksheet (available at www.leupold.com) with your ballistics data, and we will, in turn, create a precision laser engraved dial that allows you to adjust for bullet impact at extremely long range.

The positive click adjustment dials are made of aircraft-grade aluminum, with the appropriate ranges clearly and accurately laser engraved on the dial. Simply determine range to the target, then adjust to the corresponding mark on the elevation dial to achieve startling long range precision. If you’re a serious long-distance shooter, this is a simple, yet extremely valuable modification to your scope that will prove its worth immediately in the field. Long range shots become more precise and more ethical, greatly improving shooting with practice.

They charge 90$ for the Elevation Turret only or if you want 140$ for the Elevation turret with a Windage turret to compensate for Windage. Smile

Dimitri
