No Fireball your not weird, your job is apparently something you like if you think about it after work. Wink

Personally after college I sit back and read abit about metalworking, read about the lastest things, and the like. If I see something made of metal I normally sit down and look at it and figure out how it was made and how it can be made quicker and cheaper. Smile

I have a rule (or HAD a rule. I,m a retired Master Marine/Industrial Diesel Machanic) Work stays at work and home stays at home. Nope...Other people's cars, trains, buses, pickups, generators, boats or what ever don't bother me unless they are in my shop to be repaired...The only part of what I did for 45 years that erks me is those that expect me to give up my guns, fishing, hunting and horses to work on their cars or machinery on weekends FOR FREE. Mad NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!! Mad (Unless you're supper extra special)...........

No one is "special" enough to stop a man (execpt maybe his wife) from enjoying the outdoors. Shocked

Thankyou Big "D". About the only time I might work on a vehicle (outside my own) is when we are in his pickup and we are stranded in the mountains in his pickup...

When we have people hurt or die at an incident does bother me, especially if I know them.--tr

I stopped, one time, to help a person broke down on I-5 (West Coast)...While I was repairing his engine he was filling his trunk with my tools...You wouldn't believe how fast a person can refill a tool box with a Mod 19 pointed at you...And that's where I left him minus his distributer which I left at a station about 5 miles up the highway...I haven't stopped sense...Not even for a pretty lady...

Bushmaster,

Wow, I've heard of stories like this on the news but never from someone who actually had something like that happen. Shocked

I have several jobs and when I get home, it is time to change gears and work on my guns, reload, read , drink beer and relax. I never work nights or weekends. Now I have jury duty next week. All the best...

Of course, you'd think if anyone is discouraged from ever touching the stuff it'd be the bartenders, they get to see the results over and over again.
