340 scope mount

I have a 340 Savage in .222 Rem. Is there any way to mount a scope that is centered over the barrel ?

Weaver makes a side mount and the scope is centered. I have one on my 340 30-30 cal. here's a link to weaver www.weaver-mounts.com/...harts.aspx

You are in luck. I have 2 340s one in .222 with a weaver K-6 on it and one in .22 hornet a 4-12 Burris on it. They both have a weaver side mount on them. The mounts are screwed to the side of the action with 4 screws. It will need to be drilled and tapped. I'm not sure if they are still available or not but if they are Midway should have them. Midway doesn't ship to Canada.

However E-Gun parts lists:

And they ship up to 500$ worth of parts to Canada without a permit (except for barrels, receivers, some military firearms etc which they will do for a fee for the paperwork)
