Here is an accuracy report on the new 240 Weatherby Magnum...
Here are a couple of targets followed by the loads that was used...
CASE: Norma 240 Weatherby Magnum
PRIMER: CCI-200
POWDER: IMR-4350 / 51.0 gr.
BULLET: Sierra 85 gr. B.T. - H.P. Game King
VELOCITY: 3,817 fps.

BULLET: Hornady 87 gr. V-MAX
VELOCITY: 3,732 fps.

VELOCITY: 3,918 fps.

These were the three bullets that were used to shoot the above groups. The bullet on the left is the 80 gr. Remington, center is Sierra's 85 gr. bullet and then Hornady's 87 gr. V-MAX...
Extreme spread between all rounds fired was 20 fps. or less!
Notice also that all groups were fired at 200 yards instead of 100 yards. Reason being is that most high velocity bullets of any caliber do not fully stabilize until at least the 200 yard mark, if not further....
