I won't hold my breath on this one but maybe somebody can give me something.

I'm hopefully heading up this way in the next month or so to work on the mines. Unless I get a FIFO deal from Townsville, this means I will have a lot of time to kill when I'm rostered off. From what I understand pigs are the go in the immediate area, but I will probably have 4-5 days off at a time so longer trips would certainly be on the cards.

I would be hoping to stay within a days drive of Isa, which would mean anything from Eastern NT, NE SA, or possibly the Townsville area.

Thanks in advance, Dave

Dave...my daughter and son-in-law live and work in Mt Isa. He is in the mines and my daughter is with Transport.

They have friends who hunt pigs fairly often. There is certainly no shortage of pigs out there mate.

Cheers, Vince

Thanks mate. Do you know what the deal is with land titles up there, is there crown land to hunt on or am I going to have to find and get permission from the property owners?

Dave

Now that is something I don't know mate as I live in Brisbane. Having said that, I would imagine that most, if not all, hunting is done on private property.

Have a bit of a troll around some of the pig hunting websites...there is bound to be somebody there that can offer you something.

Cheers, Vince
