I am sitting here waiting for a local gun safe dealer to show up with my long gun safe number 2. I live in a rural area without local police and it takes the State Police 30 to 45 minutes to respond. A few years ago I bought a 35-gun Liberty brand safe and filled it. Then I acquired two smaller safes for handguns. Just got my tax refund check and need another long gun safe. They were on sale and I decided to get a 25-gun Champion safe so I can sleep easier and be more comfortable when away from home. Now I just need to start filling it. All the best...

True story: A good friend of my dads had an amazing gun collection. Well he went on vacation and someoen broke into his house, used a Chainsaw to cut a hole in the floor, then pulled the safe up and out of the basement with a cable hooked to a truck. Pretty crazy!

I personally have a 24 gun Remington Safe. They are made locally (actually by the company that makes Liberty) and my Dad bought it as a "2nd" for a christmas present. It only had a small scrape mark on a back corner about 3" long.

The local gun safe dealer has a number of "scratch and dent" safes at substantial discounts. The manufacturer does not want them back for repair so they give the dealer a break. Both of my safes were acquired in this manner and you have to look real hard to see a minor paint chip.

You only need a gun safe when you really need one very badly. I am more concerned about fire than theft. I still have a gun cabinet and the second string guns reside there. All the best...

A gun safe is well worth the investment for the peace of mind it gives us.
With todays laws we're often in more trouble than the people who rob us after a burglery. I imagine most of us worry a great deal about this situation. Best wishes.

In Australia we have to attach the gunsafe to the frame of the house. In most cases this means dynabolting it to the concrete slab floor. I have both of mine dynabolted to both the concrete floor and the brick wall.

If the buggers want them that bad then they will have to almost destroy the room they are in.....and there is no way they can do that without bringing the roof down and also being seem and getting caught.

Cheers, Vince

I have a good buddy who when building his home made a thickened wall section with embedded plate steel in the basement for a vault, he then had a custom steel vault door made - he had to wire in some considerations to keep moisture out, he paneled it in and built a whole mess of gun racks - from the pictures I have seen it is quite impressive. He collects scrawled and anniversary pieces - I would only need to run a beer line in and a sewer tube out, I would never leave the vault!!!!!!

could always buy a used restaurant walk in cooler and lock it up. thats what i will have when I get that many guns.
customize the walls for mounting. you could put 1000 in there nicely
