That looks like a great spot Gelan...where is it mate?

Are you allowed to cook using a Weber BBQ? If so, then you could use that to roast your marshmallows mate.

Oberon is a lovely place mate. I lived in Taralga for 12 months...spent quite a bit of time out and about that area...especially Wombeyan Caves.

A mate up here takes a small Weber out when he goes...and a Cobb...they are both good.

That Cobb looks like a neat device! Wonder if we have those over here in the US?

Don't know mate....but it is a top little unit...and cooks a lovely roast...albeit a smaller one.

Uh Vince, I am not sure about that..
I have an "Eco Billy" that I am afraid to use whenever there is "No solid fuel fire" warning.
Them BBQ are using solid fuel, I know the fire is fully contained,
but I believe the idea of no solid fuel is so that there wont be any smouldering ember
in the ashes that my light up things.

I actually got one of the small BBQ (even smaller than the weber in the pic above)
good enough for a couple of steak.
I am not taking it because it use "solid" fuel.

After posting the above I found the Cobbs online for about $100. That's going on the wish list!

Here ya go Stovey....a couple of pics of some aussie utes mate.

The white ute has a 350 cu in Chevy moving it along. The others are diesel rigs. The cage on the back of the hunting rig is the norm mainly for pig hunters to carry their dogs. The poly pipe on the front of the cage has a tap fitted on the end and is for hand washing water. This is a cool idea that is seen regularly on bush vehicles...sometimes under the tray, other times around the top of the frame or roof racks...you can carry a heap of water this way, and its needed out here.

That white GM ute is a beauty. GM Pontiac was going to inport it into the use but the Federalies but an end to that. At least I have a GTO (Monaro) - you guys in Oz build a great car. Great balls of fire, what's that hanging from the trailer hitch? I thought only trucks from Texas grew those!?!

The ute, or Utility vehicle, was originally designed as a workman's carryall, but like all cars, the young fellas got hold of it and turned it into a custom car. There are some very fine Utes rumbling around the roads out here...both Ford and Holden (GM).

They sure do step out mate...being light in the tail end it is not uncommon to find that the rear suspension is modified to overcome this. They come standard with either a 3800 cc V6, a 304 cu in or 308 cu in V8...and then you start playing with options, up to and including a 427 cu in RAT.

Those ute's are cool looking. But it wouldn't do well in the winter here in the frozen north. If they had more clearance they would do better. It's funny how a utility vehicle can become so popular when some one dresses one up and the right people like it. A 427 in one of them would be either fun or suicide.
