My friend never even had any nibbles when he tried to sell it. Wells Fargo never responded to my email. He didn't want the research letter so I didn't get one. My understanding is that the letter would show who Parker sold the gun to, i.e. a business somewhere.

We did find out that the gun was originally made with 30" barrels that have been cut back to 22". Just the wear on the gun leads me to believe that it had an interesting life. The left hammer is bent and there is a repair to the stock in that same area. There is that worn area on the bottom of the receiver and the butt plate is also very worn. I discovered that one of the "pits" on the barrel actually goes all the way through.

My friend was wondering about finding some full length inserts for .410 and actually shooting the thing. I recommended a good local gunsmith and told him to have it thoroughly checked out before he tried anything like that.
