Nice one Slim. That is certainly an unusual looking rack mate. You elk tag, is it for a buck or doe?

Vince, we call them bulls and cows over here. Its a cow tag. I'm a meat hunter and the bull hunts are 4 to 20 times more expensive than a cow hunt with the more expensive hunts being in areas with trophy bulls.

Elvis, the buck got processed yesterday so should be picking him up this week and filling the new freezer I just bought to hand the cow elk (knock on wood) and the couple of deer I get because I was fortunate enough to find a hunting lease.

Nice Buck slim, that's a beauty... Very Happy

My season of consistent *luck* continues..... Laughing

I did get a chance at one very good Mulie Buck, but, no joy. They don't get big being stupid.... Very Happy

They two bulls were in a group of four today, I didn't get pics of the other two.

Grant, How old is the bull in the first picture? 2nd picture? I assume the bull in the 3rd picture is a yearling (1 1/2 old).

Are those Shiras or Alaska-Yukon moose?

That first moose I'd bet was 5 or 6, yeah that first one is a yearling.

Dallan, in this area, they'd most definitely be the Canadian sub species. Right in between the size of the Shiras and Alaska/Yukon. I've seen a few Canadian get upwards of 50 inch spreads and heard of 60+, but this one is a good average I'd say for a mature bull. I'd put him in 40+ inch spread range.
