The rifle barrel was cut and crowned and crowned at 19 1/2" and the shotgun barrel was left full length at 31 1/2"...

Depending on the specific gun, gauge, caliber, barrel diameter and cartridge, barrel liners can be used in most all of the break open single shot rifle barrels, as well as a host of lever action rifles. The T/C Encore and Ruger #1 and #3 are also excellent candidates for relining, especially when starting like the 460 S&W, 45/70 and 500 S&W.

Here is a "partial list" of the most popular cartridges that I chamber barrel liners for -

17 Ackley Hornet

22 K-Hornet

218 Bee

219 Zipper

219 Zipper Improved

25 acp

25-20

25-35

30 Carbine

300 Blackout

32-20

327 Federal

44-40

9mm

38 special

40 S&W

45 Auto / 45 Auto Rim

And for those that like to shoot Black Powder 45/70 cartridges, I make liners for those too!

As always, any questions, just ask!

Outstanding mate. I have a 20g single shot shotgun that I have been thinking about using for a calibre change...not sure what I want though, plus the cost.

Thank you Vince!

If it wasn't for the import laws, rules and regs, I'd build you a barrel real fast, quick like and in a hurry. Quite a few caliber options for shotgun barrels.

I'm an accuracy nut, which is why I made the insert permanent for best accuracy potential.

Handloads are QUIET, factory loads are not!

I cut the chamber to where I can shoot factory loaded 45 acp or reload using 45 Auto Rim brass. Both cases are the same exact length, and both cases headspace off the case mouth.

Looks great! Why did you leave the parent barrel longer than the inserted barrel?

Elvis - if you look at the last picture in the first post, you can see the barrel set in a jig, as it is being tapped. The barrel was drilled and tapped for a Weaver #82 scope base, and was modified for the larger 8-40 screws.

slimjim - thank you. No reason at all, other than just personal preference, as I have always liked longer barrels.
