Well, I bought a couple of new calls, the Circe three holer and a mouse squeaker, for our annual trip to Yellowstone.

I called several times inside the park, with no success, with the nagging feeling that they were just over the hill, holding their furry sides, laughing at my attempts. Very Happy

The photographers outnumbered the Elk, Shocked but it was good, anyway. A day in Yellowstone beats a day almost anywhere else!

I guess I need more practice. One day, tho...

Be very careful calling in Yellowstone. The grizzly numbers are way up and they have no fear of man. (no hunting pressure) I have friends that hunt and guide in the areas around the park and they are constantly losing downed game to the bears. Rifle shots are like the dinner bell.

Firearms aren't allowed in Yellowstone, but I did carry a switch in case of bears. Laughing

Alert?? Yessir, I'd say that was definitely the case. I was so wired, I could have threaded a sewing machine while it was running! What WAS that noise? Shocked
