Thanks for posting it. I never knew how to properly skin a yote. Mostly because you cant get any money for them here in Arizona, but I am really glad to learn some new tricks.

Thanks, I just thought some of you might find it interesting reading. Wink

Trust me…. Putting up hides involves a lot of time and work. When I was a young lad my grandfather ran trap lines (in the winter months) for raccoon, mink, opossum, bobcat and fox. Often he let me tag along when he was checking his traps and “let” me do most of the skinning. He always bragged on how quick I could pull a pelt… now I know why… he hated skinning. Nearly the same methods, as in the article, were used for his hides. I still remember the big bundles of dried pelts he sold to the traveling fur buyer. Those days are long gone, now with fur prices in the dumpster it would be almost impossible to pull fur for a living. Sad
