Hi guys,

I have a No 1 mk111 Enfield in 7.62x39, uses a heavy Lithgow barrel shortened to 20".

If you compare a .303 case with a 7.62x39, you will see that the dimensions of the front 2/3 of the 303 are almost identical to the 'x39 case. If you shorten the barrel carefully, you only really need to clean up the chamber with the reamer.

I have a suppressor for mine, shoot 180gr subs using Trailboss. Very accurate. Also shoots well with Norinco or Wolf ammo.

Hi gelandangan,

I had tried for a few years to get this rifle to shoot subs, using AR2205, AS50N & Vihtavuori N110.
All over the place - due to the small amount of powder - 8.5 grains.

Along came Trailboss - this stuff is like small fluffy donuts. 12 grains FILLS a 7.62x39 case.

I think I used 9 grains to get 1000 fps & put 5 shots into about 1 1/2 inches at 100m. Sounds like dropping a tomato on the floor with the suppressor on.
