I have a Winchester Trapper 44 magnum with tang safety. The barrel is loose! Sad Any one know a good lever gun mechanic?

Nope, never gets used much. Mother purchased for me a few years ago at a yard sale still in its box with hang tags and book. Shoot it now and then to make sure its still zerod with the sights and put it away. No idea why or how it got that way. I have 9 Wichester leverguns, some are over 100 years old, None are loose except this one.
Oh and I have 3 Marlins, and 2 Savage 99's, I like ALL lever guns, (except Rugers, they are just UGLY!) not just Winchesters.

A competent gunsmith should be able to assess the problem with the rifle and offer options. Take care...
