My 2003 Cow Elk-928 viewsThe most tender and tasty elk I've ever had! This nice yearling I ran into one morning at around 20 yards. Having had the worlds toughest elk the year before I decided to pass on the other elk with this one and get something more akin to veal :)

2003 Muzzle loader 3x2 Mule deer-787 viewsWith 1 day remaining before I had to leave to go antelope hunting in Wyoming, I had my 3yr old boy and wife with me when we spotted this buck feeding along with 30 other deer. My boy was hoping up and down yelling "shoot it! shoot it!" ... so I pulled out the .50 cal remington and touched it off. The deer was hit squarely at 80 yards and ran approx 20 yards before dropping. My boy jumped out and ran over to it making for some very memorable pictures.
