I own several calibers,.... 30.06, 300 RUM, 7mm Magnum, 8mm Mauser, & .303 British, to name a few.

I prefer WOOD and don't care too much about some scratches or marks on them. I like the weight, fit,.. and feel of wood plus wood absorbs more recoil energy than your synthetics will.

I've had a Simmons 44 Mag 6.5-20X44 on my 7mm Magnum (Mil-Dot) for some years now,... all that pounding an it's held it's setting and absolutly NO problems with it.
