Joe, ballistic tips will be a good choice. Any weight in 22 caliber have worked well in my 22 caliber rifles.

I'm with Cal. Bushing sizing dies such as Redding and Wilson are the way to go. The Rockchucker is a must have. Get it now cause sooner or later you will buy one.

Rechambering is the same as installing a used barrel. Sure it may work fine for a few hundred rounds but not as long as a new barrel. Labor costs will be near the same as installing a new barrel.
