I have never had good luck with Bushnell scopes on .30 caliber rifles; the reticles seem to shoot out of them in short order. They work OK on .223 and the like, though.

I suggest the Leupold VX lin ...

The onlyy rifle cartidge I've ever heard L'il Gun used for is the .50 Beowulf.

I can assure you, it is NOT suitable for .30-06.

My hobby shop is in an 11 x 17 former bedroom, which is just slightly smaller than the master bedroom.

It has my universal ...

You should be able to use 231 to get the velocities you're after. I load 4.6 of 231 under Winchester 124 FMJ and get an average of 1040 fps out of my Kahr K9.

Another powder I have used to get high ...

This is one of those topics that always ignites controversy.
IF we were restricted to only lead or FMJ bullets, I'd carry a .45, .44 or .38 Spl (the old "FBI" load), but since we have premium bullets ...

Both the .17's are superlative shooters, but I can't legall ...

I use Aguila brand 60 grainers in a Glenfield model 60 on pests. I can get 1" groups at 50 yards with'em.
