I have been tring to develop a load for my 243 win. The 105gr Berger vld bullets keyhole for me like crazy. Too slow a twist in my Nef barrel I geuss.

I have a 340 Savage in .222 Rem. Is there any way to mount a scope that is centered over the barrel ?

30-30 kills elk & moose, even bear well enough at sensible ranges. I have hunted all three, when the only gun I had was a 30-30.
