Glad the son is OK and recovering well. I understand what you are going through, exactly. The pararescue man that was killed in operation Anaconda was my son's buddy and replacement, on mission rotation, for that mission. It has taken awhile for my son to let go of his buddy, but we talk and as former military fathers we can do a lot in such a situation with understanding and to just be there for him when he wants or needs to talk. Sometimes his buds cut off the process and do not understand what it means to return when your buddy does not.

i also want to add my thanks and support to your son and all the brave and
loyal brothers/sons/fathers that go into harms way to defend their country and its interests. I myself havent been in the military, i am only 19, i wanted to join but family approval wasnt to good so ill just stick to hunting,(i think i would have made a good sniper)

give ur son a good clap on the shoulder and reassure him that we huntingnuters are praying for him and his fellow soldiers.
