Thell her you want to take her out to dinner, then somewhere for a "few shots" and then go dancing.
Oh, wait, you already asked her out 'yote hunting . . . I think she may guess what you're up to.

I'm a newbe at hunting in general but I'm getting the itch now.
I've read a few threads bout these yotes and learned a lil bit so now I can't wait try em out.
My area has a few restrictions as far a no e-calls. Only .22 rifles or shot no bigger than a bb but any size cal. side arm without a butt stock. Wouldn't want that on my pistol anyway. No scopes, laser sights, light enhancing, etc. I'm fine with that too. Don't need to be fancy for some dogs.
I know of a couple of spots where they've been roaming but does any body know some areas around Georgia/Carolina?
I could use a few pointers on what to do with my kills(if any). I don't want to just pop em and be done with it. I'll get my hands dirty and take care of my mess. Like how to get a good pelt and what to do with it.
Can't wait to share some stories. |
Welcome TJ.
You will find that coyotes can become educated very quickly but as you become more educated yourself, you will find that changing things up will be your best plan. You may want to watch some how-to videos like Randy Anderson Calling All Coyotes and his method of hunting dogs. IF you ever come across an P.S. Olt model T-20 Fox-Coyote call grab it. I have been using this call for 25 odd years and it is my go to call. They stopped making it several years ago. You find them sometimes on EBay but it is hit and miss.

Thanks Dark.
I thought I would get my wife a good pair of boots and a box of ammo for an anniversary gift. I'll give it to on our way to the brush. I hope she likes it.......

Gave a gal a new chainsaw once for a gift.....should NOT have showed her how to start it.
Note to self: Ol lady will see right through the new bowling ball, new gun, new tool gift you got "for her" ploy in most cases. New irons and rolling pins can come back to bite ya too....
