I would like to introduce you lot to a friend of ours....
He is an Arapara Island ram who is only a wee fella at this time (maybe 6 months old) At this time his job is to grow bigger but next year he will have another job thus the name Very Happy

we have a flock of 18 which will soon be 20 their job is to eat grass ,produce lambs(thus the need for V.T.M.) eat more grass and get nice and fat. the weathers will eventually get the chop and end up in our freezer as will some of the ewes as they produce replacements.
they are grazing a reserve that has some very rare shrubs and grasses growing in it as it is one of the few lowland areas that have never seen a plow or discs. the council decided after much consulting of plant people/ twigs n twitters etc etc that some light grazing would/should help keep the introduced grasses down and give these other plants a chance. I was in the right place at the right time and was asked to provide the flock of sheep to do so.
and back to that foul suggestion Shocked

Vince will take over from the big black self shedding fella doing the biz now as the chief "sheep shagger" next year.
