Oh it's movie night! Languish a while in our modern theater complete with sawed off stump seating and free flowing brewskies. Nice to have a new member. A lot of stompin in the woods, goin on, I never saw what you were after, but I was getting tired and had to get to bed. Hope you had a good hunt. Dogs would drive me crazy, don't think I could handle it myself.

Suz

These videos made me wonder: are you hunting rabbits or just chasing beagles?

Smile

And yes, I know beagles and I also know what they can, like and don't like to do. For hare it's nice and fun (when you like it), for rabbits I have my doubts because the second time these rabbits hear that 'music', they go under.

But as long as you don't give Suz a headache, you're welcome Smile

Thanks guys!

Lol the dogs are hunting rabbits, im watching the dogs work!! Thats what its all about for me the dogs gotta do it right! Some rabbits will hole up but ive had some races go 2-3 hours with dogs making good music! The 2nd video shows a little more dog work, first one is just barking trees while I catch up to them lol. The hunting vids on my page are a little better these summer runs are mainly just to keep dogs in shape for the upcoming hunting/field trial season!

Welcome aboard Mudcreek, pull up a stump to the fire and grab a beer mate.

Beagles to chase up rabbits...that would be hard work I reckon. A beagle has a magnificent nose, but my experience is once the nose switches on, the brain switches off...they get selective hearing.

What else do you chase with the beagles mate? Their nose is brilliant and would be able to pick up almost anything in the bush.

Tennessee is one of my favorite states. I have a good friend that lives in Murfreesboro and we did some hog hunting in the Big South Fork.

See, I told you someone would be by to offer you a stump and a brew. Good to have you with us, but be aware if your skin is thin you will be subject to (of course) good natured ribbing and even sometimes ridicule, but don't let it scare you away, everyone here has an opinion and we all know what opinions are like. Personally I try to steer clear of Tennessee cause I'm not sure if that warrant from 1998 in Memphis is still in effect.

I have someone around Ava that turns his beagles (we're talkin' 4 to 6 puppies here) loose north of my place. They seem to be headed south when they come through here. Don't seem to bother anyone even though they run through yards and pastures. My horses pretty much ignore them. He damn near lost one that got through my fence. My female Pitbull is a might territorial.

Yup...She's so mean that she found a baby rabbit. She wanted to nurture it as her own. She picked it up and carried it into the house and was busy playing "mother" when we discoverd it. Still very much alive (just wet). She was very unhappy when we took it away from her.

Yup...Meet my "rabbit dog".
