What elevation are you at Vince? We will be parking the trucks at 10,000ft and going up to 12,000 for the goats on horses (good trails). Mighty high... hope to get some stellar pictures up there.

I'm at sea level mate. High mountain around me would go maybe 2000' max. Australia is a relatively flat country mate...nothing like the Rockies out here. As Tiks said, our highest mountain, Mount Kosciusko, realistically it's only a bigger "bump" on the mountain range, is only 2228 metres high.

Mount Kosciusko

Excellent! Nice to see smiles all around.

Good to know that your hunt wasn't screwed up despite the best efforts of the state to do so... Wink

Crud, my dad fell and broke his leg... been helping him out and still need to do a writeup of this adventure. Probably get around to it tomorrow. We tried to get alot of video but that was hit and miss (better HD camera stopped focusing so stuff was blurry, my boy used an older camcorder for the big shot, but was pretty jiggly in the wind)... it was always a nicety if we did get good video but the priority was always just getting a nice billy on the ground. The still pictures for the most part turned out exceptional.

Google earth shows we were at 11,800ft... just 400ft from the top of the peak we were on (3rd highest in Utah). One of the funnest hunts I've ever been on.
