Woops! Apologies! Embarassed I thought we were already in Spamland during our last conversation.

Thanks for the answer, but I think Without Remorse is where it all begins. Kelly became Clark, because he took out a bunch of drug guys for killing his girlfriend, and Jack Ryan's dad, who was a homicide cop is about to arrest him. He "dies" during a great chase scene, is given a new identity with the help of the Admiral and a CIA guy, and begins a new life as a CIA person. (assassin)

I was thinking maybe Debt of Honor, or Executive Orders, because I seem to remember a snippet where they talk about him getting his name back, with a full Presidential Pardon.

He meets the Coast Guard Senior Chief Oreza, who almost caught him during the boat race, again during Debt of Honor, so it should be some time after that, I think.

Darn, I wish my memory was better about these things. I'm going to read Without Remorse again, though.

Anyways I'm not sure its been a while since I've read any of Tom Clancy's older books Sad Been reading some of his "non-fiction" lately Smile

I googled it alittle and one a site it says it was who ever the President before Ryan becoming president gave the pardon maybe this helps ?? Confused

Have read the entire set written by Lance Horner, Kyle Onstott and both together. They started off with Drum and Mandingo. Not a bad read.

These days I can't wait for the next Wilbur Smith book to come out. Have read every one so far. I think it is these books that have given me a big desire to hunt Africa.

Also enjoy Bryce Courtney. There is another old Australian writer who is a great author and his books are a great read.......Steele Rudd. His books are set in the 1800's and deal with the early settlers in Australia. They vary between humour and tear jerkers.

My raeding likes are a bit like my music likes.....many and varied.

Cheers, Vince

Google (Verb): to search for information about a specific person through the Google search engine

Its in the Webster's New Millenniumâ„¢ Dictionary of English. Very Happy
